Step 1: The Preparation
Our technicians like to be very thorough, help them out by decluttering before they arrive! Shoes, socks, toys, or your latest hobby on the floor should be relocated so your tech won’t trip during the service. A preclean vacuum is part of carpet cleaning services, so no need to do so beforehand. Please make sure your pets remain out of the way for both theirs and our techs’ safety and quality of service
Light furniture such as lamps, small tables, plants, and kid’s toys should be moved and out of the way, especially if they contain fragile objects. Large furniture can remain, however, our carpet cleaning experts are not responsible for moving your furniture; if moving large furniture is needed, you will need to do so independently.
Lastly, make sure your Chem-Dry expert has as easy access to your space as possible. Many have truck-mounted equipment, provide them parking space as close to your home as you can.
Step 2: The Clean
The first step to healthier carpets is vacuuming, done by your technician, as stated earlier, you do not need to do so before they arrive.
If you requested Chem-Dry’s Specialty Stain Removal Service, this is the second step. Your technician will apply a stain pre-treat for any troublesome spots to break down the worst of it before the cleaning whisks it away! To ease worries of a second stain after we have left your home, a stain protectant can be applied as part of your stain removal service to stop stains in their tracks and buy you valuable time to soak up the mess with a towel.
